Whole Home Remodeling Windsor, CO
Most houses get remodeled one room at a time. A kitchen here, a bathroom a few years later, new floors when the old ones finally give out. Eventually you’ve got five different decades of finishes under one roof and a layout that still doesn’t work.
We remodel Windsor homes as one project. One plan, one design, one team, from the first walkthrough to the final punch list. It takes more planning up front. That’s the point.
Whole Home Remodeling in Windsor, CO
A whole home remodel makes sense when fixing one room at a time stops fixing the actual problem. Instead of putting new finishes on top of a layout that fights you, we look at how the whole house works and make decisions in context, so the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms all feel like they belong to the same home.
Windsor homeowners usually start thinking about a whole home remodel when:
- The layout doesn’t match how the family actually lives anymore
- Every room is from a different decade
- Three or four rooms all need work at the same time
- Walls need to move to fix flow or bring in more natural ligh

What’s Included in a Whole Home Remodel
A whole home remodel covers how the house looks and how it works. Every piece gets designed as part of the same plan.
Kitchen Remodeling
Usually the center of the project, since it’s the room everything else connects to.
- Custom cabinetry and built-ins
- Stone countertops and finishes that carry through the house
- Lighting and layout that open the kitchen to the rest of the main floor
Bathrooms
Built for daily use, easy cleaning, and finishes that won’t look dated in five years.
- Tile and stone chosen for durability
- Quality plumbing fixtures and custom vanities
- A design that matches the rest of the house
Custom Cabinetry
Kitchens, baths, mudrooms, and built-ins all get cabinets that actually fit the space.
- New colors and materials
- Better storage and function
- Layouts and spacing that make sense
Structural & Layout Changes
When the floor plan is the problem, we fix the floor plan.
- Wall removal or reconfiguration
- Better sightlines and traffic flow
- Structural work done to current code
Understanding the Level of Investment
A whole home remodel is a real investment. It takes a lot of planning, coordination, and skilled trades working across the entire house.
Whole home remodeling projects with Artisan typically start at $200,000+, depending on:
- Scope and complexity of the remodel
- Size and condition of the home
- Structural changes
- Material and finish selections
That number covers the planning, craftsmanship, and oversight it takes to do a project this size right.
Built to Reduce Risk
Big remodels go sideways in a few predictable ways. Our process is set up to prevent the usual ones:
- Design changes halfway through construction
- Budgets that creep up with every change order
- Schedules that slide week after week
We lock down the design, document the scope, and price it before construction starts. You know what you’re getting, what it costs, and when it’ll be done.

Why Homeowners Choose Artisan Remodeling
We’ve been remodeling homes in Northern Colorado since 2011. We’re family-run, we take on a limited number of projects at a time, and we back every one with a 5-year labor warranty.
A Commitment to Doing the Work the Right Way
No Shortcuts
We don't rush planning, swap in cheaper materials, or work off a vague scope. Every phase is defined before anyone picks up a hammer.
High-Quality Materials
We pick materials for how they perform and how long they'll last, not because they're trending or cheap. The house should look good in year ten, not just on reveal day.
Design-Led Decision Making
Design drives the project from day one. Every room is planned alongside the others, so you don't end up with a modern kitchen next to a living room that never got the memo.
Focused Project Managemen
We limit how many projects we take on at once. That way your Project Manager is actually on your job, not stretched across ten others.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a whole home remodel?
It’s a renovation that updates multiple rooms and systems in your home as one coordinated project. Instead of doing the kitchen, then the bathrooms, then the floors over several years with different contractors, everything is planned and built together by one team. You get a house that matches itself, usually in less total time.
How long does a whole home remodel take in Windsor?
Most run several months once construction starts, depending on the size of the house and how much structural work is involved. Design and planning come first and typically take a few months on their own. You’ll get a realistic schedule before we start building.
How much does a whole home remodel cost?
Our whole home projects typically start at $200,000 and go up from there based on scope, the size and condition of the house, structural changes, and the finishes you choose. You’ll get a fixed price after the design phase.
Do I need to move out during a whole home remodel?
Often, yes, at least for part of it. When the kitchen, bathrooms, and main living areas are all under construction at once, living there gets hard. For some projects we can phase the work so you can stay. We’ll talk through the options during planning.
What is design-build remodeling?
It means one company handles both the design and the construction. You work with one team from the first sketch to the final walkthrough, instead of hiring a designer and then handing the plans to a separate contractor and hoping they read them the same way.
Do you handle permits for whole home remodels?
Yes. We pull permits through the Town of Windsor, schedule inspections, and help with HOA design review if your neighborhood requires it.
What areas do you serve?
Windsor and the rest of Northern Colorado, including Fort Collins, Timnath, Loveland, Wellington, Greeley, and Johnstown.
